PCB probe is the contact medium for electrical testing, which is an important electronic component and the carrier for connecting and conducting electronic components. PCB probe is widely used to test the data transmission and conductive contact of PCBA. The data of the conductive transmission function of the probe can be used to judge whether the product is in normal contact and whether the operation data is normal.
Generally, the probe of PCB has many specifications, mainly consisting of three parts: first, the needle tube, which is mainly made of copper alloy and plated with gold. The second is the spring, mainly the piano steel wire and the spring steel are plated with gold. The third is needle, mainly tool steel (SK) nickel plating or gold plating. The above three parts are assembled into a probe. In addition, there is an outer sleeve, which can be connected by welding.
Type of PCB probe
1. ICT probe
The commonly used spacing is 1.27mm, 1.91MM, 2.54mm. The commonly used series are 100 series, 75 series, and 50 series. They are mainly used for online circuit testing and functional testing. ICT testing and FCT testing are used more frequently to test empty PCB boards.
2. Double ended probe
It is used for BGA testing. It is relatively tight and requires high workmanship. Generally, mobile phone IC chips, laptop IC chips, tablet computers and communication IC chips are tested. The needle body diameter is between 0.25MM and 0.58MM.
3. Switch probe
A single switch probe has two circuits of current to control the normally open and normally closed function of the circuit.
4. High frequency probe
It is used to test high-frequency signals, with shielding ring, it can be tested within 10GHz and 500MHz without shielding ring.
5. Rotary probe
The elasticity is generally not high, because its penetrability is inherently strong, and it is generally used for PCBA testing that has been processed by OSP.
6. High current probe
The probe diameter is between 2.98 mm and 5.0 mm, and the maximum test current can reach 50 A.
7. Battery contact probe
It is generally used to optimize the contact effect, with good stability and long service life. It is used for conducting electricity at the contact part of mobile phone battery, SIM data card slot and the conductive part of commonly used charger interface.
